Head Spa FAQ

Q: What is a head spa treatment?

A: A head spa treatment is a luxurious service designed to cleanse, rejuvenate, and revitalize your scalp and hair, while also focusing on your neck, arms, hands, and feet. It includes a consultation, shampooing, exfoliation, a nourishing mask, and targeted treatments for these areas. Often, additional therapies like aromatherapy and light therapy are incorporated, depending on the service you choose. Each treatment is tailored to your needs for a truly refreshing experience.

Q: What should I expect during my head spa session?

A: You will start with a personalized consultation to assess your scalp’s needs. The treatment includes cleansing, exfoliation, a mask, and a soothing experience for your neck, arms, hands, and feet, along with the possibility of additional therapies. The session concludes with a rough dry to leave your hair refreshed.

Q: Will my hair be wet after my service?

A: At Flow Head Spa, we provide a complimentary rough dry after your service. Our goal is to get your hair as dry as possible. If you’d like your hair fully dried and styled, we offer blowouts as an add-on. Please see our pricing under the Add-Ons section for more details.

Q: What if I’m late for my appointment?

A: If you arrive late, we may need to shorten your treatment time to accommodate our schedule. Please try to arrive on time to ensure you receive the full benefit of your appointment.

Q: Are there any restrictions for head spa treatments?

A: Yes, if you have lice or ringworm, we cannot provide a head spa treatment. These conditions must be treated and resolved before booking an appointment. Additionally, clients with hair extensions may face some restrictions based on the type of extensions and how they are applied. Certain treatments, like deep scalp work or masks, could affect the bonds or adhesive of the extensions. Please inform us beforehand if you have extensions so we can adjust the treatment accordingly.

Q: Is there an age requirement?

A: We welcome guests as young as 6 years old for our head spa treatments. Because our spa is designed to be a quiet, relaxing environment, children must be able to comfortably participate in the treatment and follow basic spa guidelines.

Every child is different, so we ask parents or guardians to use their best judgment when booking. If a child is unable to remain calm, follow directions, or comfortably participate in the treatment, we may need to end the service early for their safety and the comfort of other guests.

Guests under 16 must have a parent or legal guardian remain on-site during the appointment. Parents or guardians are welcome to accompany their child in the treatment room if they choose, but they will not be receiving a service during that time. We do not have couples treatment rooms, so a parent and child cannot receive services together in the same room.

If a parent or guardian chooses to book their own service at the same time as their child, they will be in a separate treatment room. The child will receive their service with one of our professional head spa therapists. Treatment rooms may not be located directly next to one another, so parents and children may not be within sight or immediate proximity of each other during their services. The parent or guardian must remain on-site for the duration of the child's appointment.

Q: What if I have allergies or sensitive skin?

A: If you have any allergies, please list them on the consent form. If you're concerned about ingredients in our products, you're welcome to bring your own.

Q: Where can I find the list of ingredients used at Flow Head Spa?

A: You can view the full list of ingredients on our website at https://www.flowheadspa.com/our-products

Q: Can I bring my own products for the treatment?

A: Yes—if you have allergies to ingredients in our products, you’re welcome to bring your own. We’ll do our best to accommodate, but please note that pricing remains the same.

Q: Can I bring food or drinks to the spa?

A: To help us maintain a clean and elevated space, outside food and drinks are not permitted. The only exception is small desserts for a special occasion, such as cake or cupcakes. We kindly ask that desserts do not stain furniture or linens. All other food and beverages are not allowed.
